Two Types of Supported Living Support

Supported living services can involve regulated personal care or non-regulated practical support, depending on the individual’s needs.

Heart Care Services provides both forms of support while maintaining clear regulatory boundaries and transparency.

Supported Living Care
(CQC Regulated)

Supported living care includes personal care services delivered within supported accommodation environments.
Where personal care is provided, the service is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to ensure safe and effective care delivery.

This form of support may be required when individuals need assistance with personal care tasks alongside independent living

Friendly Doctor Visit

Supported Living Support
(Non-Regulated)

Supported living support focuses on practical assistance that enables individuals to maintain independence within their own accommodation.

These services support everyday life and independence but do not include personal care.

This distinction ensures clarity between regulated care services and independence-focused support services

Supported Living Care (Regulated Personal Care)

Where individuals require assistance with personal care within supported accommodation, Heart Care Services can provide regulated support in accordance with CQC standards.

Person-Centred Support Planning

Every supported living service begins with a comprehensive assessment to understand the individual’s needs, goals and level of independence.
This process considers:

  • Support needs and health conditions

  • Personal goals and aspirations

  • Lifestyle preferences and routines

  • Housing and tenancy circumstances

  • Social and community connections

Based on this information we create a personalised support plan designed to promote independence while ensuring appropriate support is available.

Plans are regularly reviewed to ensure support remains appropriate as individuals develop greater independence or their needs change.
